SIPES NOTES

SIPES held two very successful meetings in January and February in terms of presentations and attendance.  In January Todd Aikins III gave a very interesting presentation on “Gem Appraisal” to a luncheon audience of 25 that included guests and spouses.  In February, Richard Leeth discussed the Micro-Log before an luncheon audience of approximately 27 members and one guest.

SIPES has luncheons scheduled for March 27th and April !5th, but since the subjects of the presentations will be of considerable interest to a very diverse group, the presentations themselves will be held at 12:30 in the Bank of America Auditorium (As usual courtesy of Presidio) and will be open to anyone wishing to attend.  On March 27th the presenter will be Dixie Madden an attorney with the firm of Adams and Jones.  Her topic will be “The State and Federal Securities Laws Governing the Sale of Producing Properties”,  On April 15th (IRS Day)  Charles Evenson, Auctioneer will make a presentation on the “Sale by Auction of Producing Properties”.

These talks will be held at the Petroleum Club 9th Floor, Bank of America Building
