A successful meeting
with 20 in attendance at lunch was held at the Petroleum Club on April
15th. After lunch the meeting adjourned to the Bank of America Auditorium
for an interesting presentation by Charles Evenson on the “Sale of Producing
Properties”, which was open to the public and was attended by numerous
members of the Kansas Geological Society.

On May 22, SIPES in
conjunction with the KGS, will host a “Panel on Ethics” in the Bank of
America Auditorium. Participants on the panel will be Fred James,
Roger Martin, Dr. Lynn Watney with Phil Knighton as moderator.

The Steak Sizzle this
year will be held at the facilities adjoining the Oil Museum in El Dorado.
There will be a social hour from 5:15 until 6:00 PM with beverages provided.
At 6:00 PM until 6:30 PM there will be a tour of the museum. This
will be followed by a discussion of the El Dorado Field by Bill Horigan,
Engineer, and Paul Ramondetta, Geologist. The steaks will be served
at 7:15 PM. All inclusive cost will be $15.00 per person. Bring
a guest!
