Dear KGS members and friends,

This issue of the Bulletin features the
slate of candidates for office for the KGS Board
for 2004. Please take the time to review those
who graciously chosen to serve you and your
fellow members. Ballots should have been re-
ceived by you by the time this issue reaches
your mailbox or computer. Please mark your
ballot for the candidates of your choice and re-
turn before December 1, 2003. I will again ask
those out-of-town and out-of-state members to
cast a ballot even if you are not totally familiar
with everyone. One can evaluate these indi-
viduals based on experience and service to the
Society. Be sure to thank these candidates for
their willingness to serve.
The 10th Annual KGS Shooting Tour-
nament was held on October 7, 2003 with 41
participants. Because I was not in attendance,
all were safe. Larry Richardson prepared a re-
port with a list of sponsors that can be found on
page 16. Be sure to thank these companies and
individuals for their generous support of this
and other KGS activities.
There are no other KGS social activities
during the remainder of this calendar year. The
Annual Banquet will be held as usual in latter
January of 2004. Watch the mail for more in-
formation.
The photo below shows Ted Jochems
and Brian Wilhite collecting on their "free
drinks on Wes" at
Old Chicago in Wichita' s
Old Town. As you may recall, Brian and Ted
saw my invite in the July/August issue of the
Bulletin. Also joining us were Marc Summer-
vill, Tyler Sanders, David Barker and Rebecca
Radford. Thanks to Rebecca for the photo. I
plan to discreetly offer this opportunity again in
a future issue. I'll try to be even more subtle.

Bye for now,

Wes
